Ashra Kwesi is a historian (griot) and lecturer on ancient African history and religion. He reveals firsthand information from the ancient temples, tombs, and papyrus papers recorded when African people were teachers of the world. Brother Kwesi brings a wealth of information and a powerful delivery based on four decades of study and tour experience in the African Nile Valley. He spent 14 of those years as an assistant to the noted Kemetologist, Dr. Yosef Ben Jochannan. Brother Kwesi has performed extensive historical research on location at the temples and tombs of Kemet (Egypt). His wide-ranging study has also taken him to Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan, Kenya, and Ghana. Additionally, he has documented information on the African Nile Valley history at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, the British Museum in London, England, and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Most recently, he presented his findings on ancient Kush at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. Merira Kwesi is a researcher and lecturer on African history, fashion, and culture. She presents exciting and educational, visually documented multimedia productions based on her examination of the culture and history of the African continent. Sister Kwesi unmasks the facade of many western institutions to expose the ancient African roots of various icons and cultural practices used today. She also researches the many female personalities who have played an integral role in the history of African people. She compliments her work with three decades of travel to various locations on the African continent, including Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Morocco. Merira Kwesi also has extensive experience in designing African oriented clothing and jewelry.
